Since 1895, a family wool house in Morocco has prepared the fibers for this craft — a tradition carried from mother to daughter within Amazigh communities for over a thousand years.
Every Berber rug is hand-knotted on traditional looms. No two are alike: each pattern is a language of symbols — fertility, protection, the rhythm of a woman’s hand — knotted into wool rather than written down. The artisans behind every piece are paid fair wages, with proceeds supporting their cooperative and community.
